We fell in love with each other in the winter, in friendship and then in romance, and then infinitely. A love that bloomed with the spring; it swelled with summer, and was rooted from the beginning in the understanding that Christ would be our center through every trial and triumph and in some kind of magic that we hold sacred between the two of us -

everything went right.

It so satisfyingly comes full circle when this golden thread of Gods goodness weaves its way through our story and it’s so undeniably Him. Of course we didn’t know where we would end up; we just knew we’d end up together. One of the first conversations we ever had was about putting pennies on the train track, something seemingly insignificant. In early 2017 we found ourselves on a train adventuring through Europe and the conversation came flooding back to me. And in late July, four and a half years deep, through Zach’s intentionality and sweetness, we ended up next to the train tracks, laying pennies down, and he stunned me with the purest, most breathtaking proposal.

By the grace of God we both have beautiful marriages to emulate and learn from in our parents. Championed by our families and wonderful friends (thank you could never suffice), sealed by our shared affinity for good music, pizza, stormy weather, cats, and Game of Thrones, tethered together by a million prayers, a billion fits of laughter, and an incalculable amount of love -

this is us. We’re doing it, forever.
